Our fossil kits come in an etched glass reusable souvenir mason jar with the Meg Goddess logo and lid.

Inside the kits you will find the following:

  • 1 megalodon tooth fragment

  • 15 shark teeth including at least one of each of the following species: bull, lemon, tiger & sand tiger)

  • 2 complete shark teeth (bull, lemon, tiger or sand tiger)

  • 1 or more sting ray plate

  • 1 or more sting ray barb

  • 1 or more bone fragment

  • 1 of each of the following groups:

  • 1 Hastalis, Hemipristis or Great White fragment

  • 1 Columbian mammoth, horse tooth fragment or whale tooth fragment

  • 1 whale ear bone or piece of turtle/tortoise shell

Kits also often include microfossils in the gravel, so get out the microscope and embrace those dreams of becoming a scientist one day!

Microfossils typically include (but are not guaranteed): fish teeth, sting ray teeth and sharp nose shark teeth.

All fossils included in the kits are from Venice, Florida and are left in their natural state, meaning that you can choose to leave them this way or clean them. Cleaning them can be a fun science project with kids!

For fossils encrusted in a white or pink coralline algae, you can use a 50/50 vinegar-water solutions and a brush to the move the growth.

Fossils without much growth can typically be cleaned with a tool pick our a stiff wire brush.
